(April 7-10, 2011) The fun-filled four days at the The Third Annual Los Angeles Comedy Shorts Film Festival (LACSFF), voted one of the top 20 festivals, was worth the submission price. We spent the weekend watching the best comedic film shorts from around the world, industry panels including Famous People Talking about Sh*t, and parties each night. Celebrity Karaoke Night was hosted by Cedric Yarbrough from Reno 911, and Mary Elizabeth Ellis, from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, played games at the ESPN Zone with Dave Foley from Kids in the Hall, Aisha Tyler from Archer, and drank soda with David Higgins from Malcolm in the Middle and Ahmed Best (who you may know as Jar Jar Binks).
The festival concluded with a Red Carpet Awards Gala and Party. The award ceremony was hosted by Reno 911’s Carlos Alazraqui, where comedian Judy Tenuta presented the 2011 Commie Award to Wendi McLendon-Covey.
