Name | Darryl Morden |
Position | (1958-2011) |
Darryl Morden has walked the worlds of broadcast, print and the Internet. He was a writer/producer for syndicated radio programs heard around the globe, including American Top 40 with Casey Kasem then Shadoe Stevens, and also developed and guided the World Chart Show, serving as Executive Producer. Morden's reviews, features, and interviews have appeared in a wide array of entertainment and trade publications, including The Hollywood Reporter. His blog is That Writer Guy.
Darryl Morden (1958-2011) began his fight with cancer in the fall of 2009. Tragically, despite his valiant battle, his body succumbed to the disease on Friday, February 25, 2011. Darryl has been a loyal writer, editor, and friend of Buzzine for many years. In fact, Buzzineessentially was almost exclusively Darryl Morden during our transitional phases, and he remained with us through our own struggle to expand Buzzine into what you see today--always encouraging, never doubting. His beautiful wife Barbara and 8-year-old son Declan will miss him terribly, and our thoughts and prayers are with his family, as we miss him as well. Darryl’s passion for comics and classic rock--especially Bruce Springsteen--shaped his personality, which you will find endearing in his writings. We recommend that you peruse his catalog of articles, as we would like to honor him and keep his memory alive in the pages of this webzine. If you would like to donate any amount to help his family, please follow this link.
